Our client is seeking an experienced Business Reporter to create insightful and original business content for their website and print publication. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business journalism, a keen eye for newsworthy stories, and the ability to produce exclusive reporting from a wide variety of sources.
As a Business Reporter you will be expected to cover a broad range of business topics, from corporate developments (significant events, decisions, and changes) and market trends to entrepreneurship and economic policies

Responsibilities
Produce original business news articles and features
Expect 2-3 articles of 800+ words per week.
Develop and maintain a network of sources within the business community, including executives, analysts, and industry experts.
Provide timely coverage of major business events, earnings reports, and market-moving news.
Conduct interviews with business leaders, entrepreneurs, and economic experts.
Collaborate with editors to develop story ideas and ensure content meets the client’s standards and values.
Stay abreast of the latest developments in the business world and bring fresh, relevant story ideas to the table.
Adapt to evolving digital storytelling formats and engage with readers across various platforms.
Qualifications
At least 1 year of experience in business journalism.
Strong writing and reporting skills, with a proven ability to produce compelling business stories.
Demonstrated ability to break news and develop exclusive content.
Proficiency in analyzing financial statements and economic data.
Ability to work effectively under deadline pressure in a fast-paced news environment.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently as a freelancer.
Understanding of how business and economic issues intersect with cultural and traditional values.
