We are looking for a strong, experienced digital/online writer to join a fast-paced team focused on commerce content. This person will pitch and write shopping stories at the intersection of family, parenting, and health for our client.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter who is passionate about shopping and product recommendations, especially in the family and health space, and can create quality content in the Parents and Health voice on a timely basis.

This is a 40-hour/week contract position with a rate of pay of $10-$15 per hour, commensurate with experience. The right candidate will have the option to continually extend their contract and may have the opportunity to join the team full-time. Writers must be comfortable working remotely

YOU WILL (DAY-TO-DAY)…
Pitch and write at least 2 commerce articles per day that generate affiliate revenue
Identify and carry out commerce content opportunities within parents, health, and wellness categories
Monitor social media (TikTok, Instagram, etc.) for commerce opportunities including celebrity recommendations and viral products
Use data and analytics to brainstorm and guide content decisions
Collaborate closely with numerous writers and editors on the commerce team along with editors on the editorial teams
Build own content within the CMS
Attend weekly editorial meetings as needed/determined by manager
YOU ARE…
A clean writer with at least 2-3 years of experience in the digital editorial space for an online publication (experience writing commerce content highly preferred)
Knowledgeable about the Parents or Health niche; interested in or familiar with parenting, toys, health and wellness
Comfortable with digital media metrics and tools, such as CMS platforms and Google Analytics
Familiar with SEO and affiliate linking best practices
A quick learner who is excited about commerce media, eager to take on new challenges, and able to identify new content opportunities
A flexible, organized person who is able to handle multiple tasks at once, and seamlessly pivot and re-prioritize tasks as needs change
Ideally, you have a bachelor’s degree in journalism or a related field

We are seeking a niche outdoors-loving article/content writer with excellent writing skills and online know-how to join our team. The writer will be responsible for producing quick-turnaround, 500-1000 word articles on a daily basis, which will be assigned each morning by the Phoenix Writers Editorial Team.

COMPENSATION:

This is a full-time, contract position at a rate of $0.01 per word

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Writing multiple short, quick-turnaround articles on the niche topic of the corresponding site
Searching social media channels of key players in the niche industry to find potential sources of content
Searching for and choosing appropriate photos for each article
Pitching ideas for articles to the Editorial Team
Accepting and applying feedback from the Editorial Team to improve the quality of articles
REQUIREMENTS:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
At least 1 year of writing experience, preferably in web content capacity

We are seeking creative, tech-savvy bloggers to develop engaging stories and materials using web-first formats and tools including Canva and the Google Web Stories plugin. The bloggers will leverage both writing and visual design skills to produce stories optimized for discovery and resonance across the modern digital content landscape.

This position is a contract.
This role will report directly to the SEO Editor and the Associate Director of SEO.

Bloggers will be responsible for providing their own equipment, including but not limited to laptop computers, cell phones, or any other electronic equipment required to perform their role.

Responsibilities:

Conceptualize and produce snippets, listicles, and explainers using web story templates tailored to engage mobile users
Employ Canva Suite and Google Web Stories plugin to rapidly design appealing social graphics, info cards, and interactive visuals to showcase and promote content
Test innovative ways of formatting and distributing stories continuously, prioritizing vertical placement and visibility
Analyze performance data and user feedback to identify high-potential ideas and areas for further creative exploration
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensuring consistent brand voice and art direction across web stories
Ensure that content is structured and well optimized for performance and adheres to SEO best practices
Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree
Required Experience:
Experience leveraging an adaptive approach to write across a variety of mediums
Demonstrated excellence in Canva content creation and storytelling (as displayed by portfolio)
Preferred Experience:
2+ years as a Writer or Social Media Creator
Familiarity with Google Discover
Technologies: Fluent in Google Suite, Asana, Canva, and WordPress CMS
